4。5 out of 5 starsBook 3 of 4， What Lurks Between the Fates does not disappoint。 The power dynamic has changed， in many respects。I love that there is more story， more character development， and more mystery。 Spice is a seasoning in this novel， not the entire dish。 And I LOVE it！

Oy。 What an ending。 This book was a super easy read for me。 I didn’t feel like it was too fluffy or dragged too much。 There was a give and take of action throughout， as well as spice peppered in here and there。 Very eager to see what happens after that cliffhanger…which by the way I don’t think was TOO cruel for the reader if you’re concerned about waiting for the next book。Proceed with caution if threats or discussion of SA are triggering。
